what's going on this week
I made myself a nice dinner last night. I’m trying to eat healthy, which isn’t something I like to do. I hate most vegetables and like to stick to a standard diet of steak and potatoes, but my blood pressure is high and apparently the Beef advisory council isn’t the best place to get nutrition advice from. Against better judgment, I went to the grocery store bought some things I truly loathe and made a decent enough dinner. Maybe the taste of zucchini and squash will grow on me, or maybe gallons of hot sauce will help – I don’t know but here’s to better living.

ReplyDeleteTry spaghetti squash. Cooks half-wise in the microwave and is fun to pull apart with a fork. Add jarred sauce with extra stewed tomatoes for more veggie goodness.
Watch out for the hidden sodium in frozen veggies. Steer clear of the canned variety.
