Dating is like landscaping a three acre yard with a push mower, its hard miserable work but when you are done it looks good, you can be proud of how beautiful the yard looks for a little but have to be constantly vigilant its upkeep. I hate manual labor and hard work, which is why I hate dating. Is it so much too just hope that things work out with little effort on my part; probably, but like I said who likes to mow three acres with a push mower.
I guess I just thought, and this could be unrealistic expectations on my part, that at this point in my life I would have or be in a serious relationship; and I always hated dating anyway. It’s the most unpleasant part of getting to know someone, to make things worse I’m probably slightly entitled and lazy to boot.
The thing that bugs me, and maybe I am over thinking things is that finding a person can’t be as simple as going up to the person and just saying hey or some other type of greeting. Maybe it is, I tend to zone out when people tell the how we meet stories, but still it makes no logical sense for meeting someone to be predicated entirely on a greeting. Of course like I said, I make little to no effort, so maybe it is that easy. Bottom line dating sucks.
