Watching Maury is similar watching a minstrel show. It is an awful, awful show that exploits the poor and makes no attempt to hide the contempt the show feels towards the guests that appear.
Dr. Phil, is like watching a snuff film. Not only does he exploit those who are less fortunate but he suffocates us with a smile and wink, telling us that we deserve to die.
At least Maury has no pretense about what a reprehensible human being he is, its almost his only strength in a sick twisted way; but Dr. Phil makes an attempt to "help". Help, just like he helped find the real murderer of Natalie Holloway, or helped Britney Spears get off drugs, or how he helped a homeless drug addict who was in an emotional fragile state by whoring him out in front of the cameras. The worst part about Dr. Phil is that he calls himself a doctor. Lets be clear here, he had his licence to practice psychology taken away because he was fucking patients. Doctor is only used for entertainment purposes, the same way I call myself a "nutritionist" or board certified lawyer, it's all for entertainment.
I just despise the man, more then Dr. Drew who is also a fame whore, but at least he's not fucking his patients.
